Looking to get started with the basics of Italian?

Take the first step of your Italian journey with Chapter 1 of our Beginner Course. You'll join a small group class of max 6 students for 12 lessons of 90 minutes, delivered on Zoom once a week by one of Giulia's accredited Italian teachers.

You're new to Italian or have taken it before but don't remember much.

You want to learn Italian for everyday situations in an engaging and practical way that prioritizes speaking.

You seek guidance from expert Italian teachers who can use English as a bridge language when needed.

You'll be able to:

  • Introduce yourself and others in Italian
  • Offer greetings appropriate for any time of the day
  • Say where you and others are from
  • Have simple conversations about everyday life activities

Vocabulary 💬

You'll expand your vocabulary on the following topics:

  • Greetings
  • Countries and nationalities
  • Professions
  • Nouns and adjectives describing people's appearance and personality
  • Verbs describing everyday activities

Grammar 📝

You'll learn the following definitions and structures:

  • Formal and informal speech
  • Singular of finite articles, nouns and qualifying adjectives ending in o/a/e
  • Numbers
  • Demonstrative adjectives and interrogative adjectives and pronouns
  • Present tense of verbs: to be, to have, to do
  • Regular verbs in -ARE
